Moslems of Adygeya on February 9th celebrated Ashuru - the Rememberance day of all prophets of Allah, IА REGNUM correspondent reported. That day they had a special fast, and preparation of a special dish – Ashraya - with which the daytime food abstention comes to an end.

According to Moslem women of senior generation who cook the dish using ancient recipes, preparation of Ashraya is necessary to eat in the evening before the Rememberance day. The main thing in it is the number of components: it should make seven. The core of the components is corn groat of some special grinding, more precisely, pounding. However, if they had not that groat it could be replaced with millet or fig.

All the components – the groats and bean – are cooked separately, and then mix in the boiled milk. Into Ashraya according to Adygeyan tradition meat - a beef that, as a rule, is used very little – could be added.

It is considered that the dish brings organism force and health. Therefore they need to treat all neighbours and relatives with kind wishes. And it is possible to do that not only in the last evening of the fast, but also during all the next month.
