For the elections the representative delegation of the Central Electoral Committee of Russia will go to Abkhazia. As ITAR-TASS reported, as observers at the elections the head of the Central Electoral Committee of Russian Federation Vladimir Churov, his assistant Stanislav Vavilov, members of the Central Electoral Committee Evgenie Kolyushin, Valery Kryukov and Siyabshah Shapiev will work.
Shapiev will simultaneously observe the course of the presidential elections in Abkhazia on the polling district formed in Karachaevo-Circassian Republic. Besides the member of the Central Electoral Committee Vasily Volkov will execute functions of the observer on the polling district of the Abkhazian presidential elections formed in Moscow.
At the presidential elections in Abkhazia there will be also the delegation of the State Duma led by the head of the committee on the CIS affairs Alexey Ostrovsky, representatives of public organizations.
Let's remind, the presidential elections in Abkhazia which take place on December, 12th, will be the fourth in the modern history of Abkhazia and the first after recognition of the republic by Russia and another two countries (Latin American ones). For the supreme post in the country leader the present president Sergey Bagapsh, ex-vice-president Raul Khadzhimba (who had been his opponent at the last elections), scientist Vitaly Bganba, the head of the state company “Abkhazian shipping company” Zaur Ardzinba and the chairman of the Party of economic development of Abkhazia Beslan Butba struggle.
