In legal experts’ opinion, nationalist slogans can distress position of the Russian-speaking population in the national republics of Northern Caucasus. "In the memory of ours as well as of the last generations in the center of Moscow such frankly fascist and racist forces organized in columns had not passed yet. Thousands of youngsters threw up hands in the fascist greeting, as they said - voting for carrying out of such action and in next years, - stated on November, 8th to the correspondent of "Caucasian unit" the chairman of the Council of the legal expert center "Memorial" Oleg Orlov.

About two thousand supporters of the Movement against illegal immigration (MAII), the Eurasian union of youth (ЕUY), the Russian National Union, "the Russian Order" and others right-radical organizations marched on Friday on November, 4th in the Day of national unity from the monument to Griboedov up to the Slavic Square where their meeting took place. Not less than two thirds of the participants of "the Right march" was formed by the column of the Movement against illegal immigration which had initiated the first procession of such kind under slogans "Clear out our city from uninvited visitors!", "Chechens! War ended! - Time to go home!", "Russia belongs to us!".

Note: the opponents of the war in Chechen Republic from “Anti-War Club” and the Committee of anti-war activities, anarchists, participants of the movement "Defense" and others liberal, left and legal expert organizations led on the same day their antifascist actions on the way of the nationalists’ march in the center of Moscow authorized by officials.

Earlier, representatives of some leaders of Russian legal expert organizations acted with an open letter to Moscow mayor Jury Luzhkov in which they appealed him to undertake measures for prevention of "a racist march" and to address to the Office of Public Prosecutor with the request of investigating MAII’s activities. "MAII calls Muscovites for processions under openly nationalist, provocative and rabble-rousing slogans and purposefully plans to lead their march in areas of Moscow where natives of other republics and representatives of ethnic minorities live... The whole world experience speaks that such provocations lead to a scale interethnic discord and mass disorders", - stated legal experts.

The chairman of the Committee "Civil assistance", member of the Council of the legal expert center "Memorial" and the Council under human rights by the President of Russian Federation Svetlana Gannushkina also addressed to Luzhkov with similar letter. Copies of both documents were sent the General public prosecutor of Russia. Representatives of the parties " United Russia", "The Apple", “The Union of Right Forces” and the Movement "Our men" also had condemned the carrying out of the nationalists’ procession. "Such demonstration (which despite of all the cautions has nevertheless passed) threatens with Russia as integrated state", - emphasized the chairman of "Memorial" center Oleg Orlov in his conversation with the correspondent of “Caucasian unit”.
