On May, 21st in hotel "Tbilisi Мариотт" there will be held a memory evening devoted to the Circassian tragedy. In the action named "Pages of History of Caucasus of the XIX century" known historians and experts, as well as representatives of the state departments will take part.

As the chairman of the parliamentary committee on communications with compatriots living abroad Nuzgar Tsiklauri declared the agency "Pirveli", in the scientific circles there is an active discussion of the question of the genocide of Circassians committed by imperial Russia.

"Besides the action on May, 21st, during the next months working meetings are also planned. After such discussions the parliamentary committee will prepare a report in connection with the genocide of Circassian people which at the first stage will be left to parliamentary committees", Nuzgar Tsiklauri noted.

At the same time, tomorrow in the Georgian parliament the second meeting within the limits of the above-stated question takes place.

As to the action on May, 21st, its organizers are “Caucasian fund”, the National academy of sciences of Georgia and the scientific cooperation with Caucasian countries commission.

The state minister of Georgia on diasporas, Nuzgar Tsiklauri, the chairman of parliamentary group of friendship with North Caucasian parliaments Michael Tskitishvili, historians Marika Lortkipanidze, Roin Metreveli, caucasianists Merab Chuhua, Mamuka Areshidze, Merab Horava and others will take part in the action.

Abraham Shmulevich’s comments:

"The next months working meetings are also planned. After such discussions the parliamentary committee will prepare a report in connection with the genocide of Circassian people which at the first stage will be left to parliamentary committees", Tsiklauri noted.

The chairman of the parliamentary committee on communications with compatriots living abroad Nuzgar Tsiklauri is that person who officially responsible in the Parliament of Georgia and in the Georgian political establishment for development of "Circassian question". (Really the Ministry on reintegration as well as special services do are engaged in it). His words are "the voice of official Tbilisi" in relation to the Circassian question.

That means, as he said, in the nearest months the parliament of Georgia is not going to adopt a resolution about "recognition of the genocide of Circassians committed by Russia".

They plan working meetings and months of discussions. Then one of the committees of the Parliament will adopt "report" which "will be considered by the committee of the parliament" (it means by not the whole parliament), that, probably, would take "months", too. And all of that is just "the first stage"?
