On Tuesday Vladimir Putin signed the decree under which the prime minister of Russia would have three assistants, including one first deputy. Besides the Russian president appointed Sobianin, Iskhakov and Konovalov members of Security Council of Russian Federation, informed "Interfax" referring to the Kremlin press-service.

The Russian press actively makes comments on rearrangements, purposes and resignations that were made on Monday by President Vladimir Putin. On November, 14th he appointed the ex-head of his administration 40-years old Dmitry Medvedev the first vice-president of the government. Meanwhile Medvedev has kept the post of the head of “Gazprom" board. The ex-governor of the Tyumen area Sergey Sobianin was appointed to the post of the head of the presidential administration. Defense Minister Sergey Ivanov became the vice-president of the government, reserving the post of the minister.

The president plenipotentiaries in Privolzhsky and Far Eastern federal districts Sergey Kirienko and Konstantin Pulikovsky were moved for other work. Sergey Kirienko has already held the post of the head of Federal agency on atomic energy. The latest head of the agency Alexander Rumjantsev was 60 this year. The future work of the Far Eastern plenipotentiary Konstantin Pulikovsky yet is not known.

Officials and experts named the rearrangements a preparation for elections-2008 and the operation "Successor". But opinions, who exactly would the successor -Medvedev, Ivanov, Sobianin or someone else, - are very different, newspaper "Vedomosty" writes.

A source of the edition close to the Kremlin, considers: Putin puts Zhukov, Medvedev, Ivanov in the equal start positions. "In a year the choice will be made - not among surnames, and among trends in society", - a source believes. If the finding out how the things stand specifies a roll aside the rigid state management, Ivanov will become the successor. At the liberal moods of society there will be Zhukov. And if the population do not precisely express its moods Medvedev will be in a prize. The manager of the large company supposes that Sobianin has his chances, too: " Others would have time to burn down or miscalculate".

Thus the Russian newspapers give their most attention to Dmitry Medvedev's appointment to the post of the first vice-premier of the government.
