In the evening of November 23rd Ali Bgane, the Executive Committee member of public organization «Adygha Khasa – Circassian Council», visited two refugees from Syria Muhammad Balkar and Mirza Tok (Hadzhebiek) at their rented apartment in Maikop, who arrived in Adygea two days earlier. During the conversation, they explained that they needed to adapt to new conditions as quickly as possible to resort to less assistance.

Returned refugees from Syria – by invitation of Maikop’s Adygha Khasa – hasten to settleThe repatriates told that they, as it was planned in advance, had being helped to get used to new surroundings by their relatives who had settled in Adyghea Republic year and a half ago. They have started the paperwork right away and immediately began to learn Russian language, with which they never had to come across before. They want to learn the language quickly because they are not going to sit idly and want to find a job.

The eldest of them is Muhammad Balkar, 37 years old, Mirza Hadzhebiek is 25. Muhammad is by his major an engineer for setting up the heating system. He also had in Syria apiary from 300 beehives, so he can professionally engage in that again. He had his own shop as well, so he mastered in trading business. Mirza is mechanic by his profession.

Circumstances of military time brought Muhammad and Mirza together. They are from different villages, Muhammad is from Bir Adzhem («Golan Heights») and Mirza is from Dzhidzhihabl located in the area of the city Homs. Their villages have long become impossible to live in, and they were forced to leave to Jordan. Opposition forces, which are still there, have seized Bir Adzhem over a year ago and Dzhizhihabl passed several times from hand to hand.

Muhammad and Mirza’s families have remained in Jordan. The first one has eleven people and the second – four. And this is the major reason to hurry to settle. As soon as the repatriates finish the necessary procedures with documentation, they are planning to head to Takhtamukai district where they have relatives who also returned from Syria and settled in Shapsug villages. They say it is easier to find a job there.

As Ali Bgane commented for Natpress these 15 people, that are Muhammad and Mirza’s relatives, are also planning to come back to their historical homeland by invitation of Maykop’s public organization «Adyghe Khasa – Circassian Council». In addition, three more Syrian refugees soon should return to Adygea, who most likely also have relatives willing to settle in the republic right after them.
